A synthetic demo grid, classed with equal intervals — the point is the palette against real basemap ink, not the data. Switch themes to see how much basemap the palette leaves room for.

Provenance
Buda is one of Crameri's simpler sequential maps: a single monotonic climb from saturated magenta through dusty pink and tan to a bright yellow, with lightness rising steadily the whole way. It is the map to use when you want a warm ramp that is still perceptually uniform — the honest version of the "pink to yellow" gradients that get hand-rolled in style editors. MIT-licensed via the Zenodo Scientific colour maps release and documented as CVD-readable with the rest of the family.
When to use it
Suits quantities where the high end should feel like brightness rather than heat — illumination, exposure hours, visibility. Because every stop is fairly saturated it holds up on darker basemaps better than the pale-ended sequential ramps do. Avoid pairing it with a magenta or pink accent color elsewhere on the map; the low classes will be read as that accent.
